Brian first visited the Dauphin Island Sea Lab on a high school tour of Gulf Coast research facilities. He returned for college summer school classes, and remained for graduate school.
His time at the Sea Lab has also provided many offshore and overseas research opportunities, such as the Gulf of Maine, the Pacific Ocean, and Antarctica.
He started working at the Aquarium as a part-time aquarist in 1998 before the facility opened, and currently serves as the Aquarium’s Curator.
He enjoys photography, spending time on the water, and answering mystery critter questions from visitors at the aquarium.
